About Mark

A listener, facilitator, and problem solver, Mark specializes in simplifying complexity. He worked as a child welfare social worker, taught in a non-traditional school, and founded a nonprofit organization before launching this consulting practice. Through the combination of executive experience and therapeutic listening skills, he has the ability to partner with leaders and teams to take on hard challenges, providing clarity in both desired outcomes and the steps necessary to achieve them.

Mark is a graduate of Duke University (AB, Psychology), the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (MSW, Direct Service with Children & Families), and Harvard University (EdM, School Leadership). During previous life chapters, he was the DC Child Welfare Social Worker of the Year, the Founder of Reach Incorporated, and a fellow with Echoing Green, the WK Kellogg Foundation Community Leadership Network, and the Aspen Institute.
